I was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in adulthood and can provide a detailed review of your manuscript to ensure that your depiction of autistic characters is accurate and respectful. My feedback will address the authenticity of the portrayal and discuss how the representation resonated with me personally as someone on the autism spectrum.
Please keep in mind that since my diagnosis came later in life, my insights will be particularly valuable if your character is also an adult and did not receive accommodations during childhood, regardless of whether they are officially diagnosed. Additionally, as societal experiences differ, I will be most effective in providing feedback if your character identifies as a woman or nonbinary. While I am familiar with the experiences of male autistic individuals, my expertise is especially geared toward reviewing characters who are not men.
